A Few More Ideas

Luminescent solutions. Yes, yes, yes. What is Et Cetera? It's everything else. It's the grab bag for the site. We had so much information we wanted to offer, it was tough to make enough sections. Instead, we chose to focus on five main areas and then put everything else we felt was important in this section.

What's Inside?

- Some information on symbols, constants and units. These ideas are used in every area of chemistry. They are often found in other sciences too.

- Some career information. When we look into the details of chemistry, we'll talk about what you can do with chemistry in the real world. You might not want to be a chemist, but if you want to be a doctor you'll need to know all about the science of chemistry.

- Special branches of chemistry. We already have a section on biochemistry, but there are many areas of chemistry that focus on different topics. An easy example is organic chemistry. O-chem is the branch of chemistry where you study compounds that contain carbon (C) atoms. It studies so much more than biochemistry. You could study about diamonds, plastics, or even some types of steel. Physical chemistry (P-chem) uses a lot of physics and studies the interactions between atoms.
