Flames and Fire

Common Name:
Flame/Fire

Information:
Image 1: Flame with Wax Fuel
Image 1: Campfire

Notes:
The color of a flame is dependent on the elements burning. For example, sodium burns yellow and Calcium burns red.

As with rust and peeling paint, chemical bonds can break down. While ruast and paint change over time, fire can create suddent changes in molecular structure. You start with one set of compounds and wind up with a completely new set of compounds.
